伟大的中国农民用竹子建造“鸟巢”【图】

The Beijing National Stadium, nicknamed “The Bird's Nest,” has already become an icon in the country of 1.3 billion. But for some farmers close to Hangzhou (located in the southeast of China), the Herzog & de Meuron structure was just too darn far away... so in a fit of DIY ingenuity, they built their own replica out of bamboo. Steel's apparently kind of hard to get when you're living on a couple of dollars a day.

Altogether, it took ten bamboo sculptors roughly two weeks to put together the Bird's Nest (at a 1:20 scale of the Beijing original) out of 800 pieces of bamboo. The villagers say they plan to use the structure for local sports events. Hmmm... As cool as this DIY structure is, I'm not sure what kind of sport you'd be able to fit in it. Ping pong? 我简单翻译一下。。。
俗称“鸟巢”的北京国家体育场已经成为这个有着13亿民众的国家的符号。但是对于临近杭州的一些农民来说，这个赫尔佐格和德穆隆结构（鸟巢）真是太他妈的遥远了。。。所以诞生了一个绝顶聪明的DIY创意，他们用竹子建造了他们自己的鸟巢复制品。钢铁的（复制品）显然很难实现当你生活在一对夫妇一天1美元的收入的水平的时候。
总共十个竹艺雕刻家用了大约两个星期耗费800根竹子把“鸟巢”建好（与原鸟巢比例为1:20）。村民们说他们打算用“鸟巢”举办本地体育赛事。 hmmm ...像这个DIY结构一样酷的是，我不知道什么样的运动适合在里面举行。乒乓？

因为，主题帖里面的“钢铁的（复制品）显然很难实现当你生活在一对夫妇一天1美元的收入的水平的时候”我没看懂，所以就顺手翻了一下。
