Temporary Local Recruit – Job Description




Primary duties:

Provide immediate and customer-focused emergency assistance (medical, health or travel related) and solutions to external customers by conferring with the customer to determine requirements, discussing the most workable solution and implementing this solution to ensure the customers are satisfied with the outcome.
To achieve this, it is necessary to maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of the services that are available to our Zurich customers who will be visiting China during the 2008 Summer Games.


Track and document customer information and activity to ensure that customer’s problems are dealt with a timely, accurate and professional way and that appropriate follow-up is conducted and documented to ensure measurable customer satisfaction.

Foster and maintain a team environment by maintaining open lines of communication with peers, supervisors, or managers and other departments within the Zurich Beijing Assistance Center.

Experience / Requirements:

The successful candidates will have excellent customer service and oral / written communication skills as well as excellent negotiation, problem solving and analytical skills.
The ability to “find solutions” is required as is the ability to work independently with minimal guidance in a team environment.
A commitment to providing outstanding customer service in a high performance environment is an additional requirement.


Fluency in spoken and written Chinese (Mandarin) as well as in English and another languages including French, Spanish would be an asset.

Excellent knowledge of China and especially of Beijing and its geography, environment, areas of interests, major tourist sights, places to visit, etc. is required.

Please note that this position requires shift work on a seven day a week rotating basis.

Must have valid temporary work document allowing to work in our Zurich Beijing Assistance Center.

Period of work: July 25 until September 5, 2008.
