Position: Assistant Program Coordinator
Half the Sky was created by adoptive parents of orphaned Chinese children inorder to enrich the lives and enhance the prospects for the children in Chinawho still wait to be adopted, and for those who will spend their childhoods inorphanages. The Assistant will be responsible for a multitude of tasks concerning the progressreports and will work closely with Program Coordinator to ensure the smoothrunning of the children’s programs.
The main responsibilities will include:
l
Making sure quarterly progress reports andother documents from the various welfare institutions are received on time
l
Processing the progress reports and scanningthem
l
Translating reports from Chinese to Englishand vice versa
l
Sending emails of the reports to sponsors
l
Contacting program sites concerning variousissues
l
Filing the reports periodically
l
Performing other duties as requested
Qualificationsand Experience:
l
Bachelor Degree, majoring in English
l
Excellent English skills, both written andspoken, is a must
l
Earnest, conscientious, hard-working,dependable and good team player
l
Good computer skills including word, excel,database, scanning and internet
